Julia and Sage's Colorful Wedding at the Weinberg at Wixon Valley
This summer wedding combined colorful bridesmaid gowns with a fairytale designed bridal gown that created a puffy sleeve top with a dip back and it had us dying!! Julia and Sage designed their day to be a big family celebration by incorporating moments of prayer and worship throughout the "typical" moments of the day. It was evident through the testimony of those around them that these two love the Lord with all they have--and in turn love each other more than life.
We had the honor of being photo and video coverage for the day. A new package that we offer where we shoot everything from your engagements, bridals, rehearsal, wedding, ect on film for photo and video!! With the array of choices, Julia and Sage chose Super 8 for their wedding video format. While Jonathan headed that up, I shot a mix of digital and film for their Texas wedding.

"How do you approach capturing the ceremony?"
This is a question that comes up typically on our informational calls before our sweet couples book. We have all heard the horror stories of wedding vendors, albeit with good intentions, accidentally distract many guest during the ceremony by being a little more obtuse int heir filming approach. While some shots you just have to "get in and get out" for the sake of what the couples wants, their is also an art to being able to capture without drawing mass amounts of attention way form the happy couple.
Using formats such as 16mm or Super 8 for wedding videos allows us to be discreet and creative in how we film our Texas and destination weddings on film. We are equal parts "fly on the wall" for those candid moments as we are "guides" for when you need a steady and controlled leader to navigate the family photos section post ceremony.
Summer Wedding Party Palette
Julia divided up her girls by color and print! Her house party all matched silk but chose differing summer hues, while her bridal party had a floral pattern. The bridesmaid each had different cuts of the pattern using one shoulder styles, halter cuts, and skinny straps to change it up.

With a collage of new and old friends we wanted the wedding party photos to embody a playful atmosphere. Making sure to mix the patterns and colors of the dress created wedding party photos that feel in the moment and like a huge party.
