If I got you--I've got enough.

Reagan and Steven counted down the days to their wedding celebration, and it came, and it was everything everything everything. Held by the couple's family at the venue, Camp Hosea, they spent the day thinking on the goodness of God in bringing them together. Of course we had to be there to capture it all on 16mm for their wedding video!

using 16mm as the medium to capture your wedding

While we do occasionally travel, when we get to film weddings in Texas, there seems to be a special nook of our heart that swoons. Gracie thinks theirs something special about the Texas heat that makes the kissing sweeter and the feelings stronger (shout out to flatland calvary). In Reagan's and Steven's case, the summer sun was melting them together on this day.

creative ideas for a couple's "first touch"

Some couples are for going the "first look" in favor of doing a hidden first touch, where the bride and groom simply holds hands and exchange private vows, all without seeing one another. This mimics the traditional "no peeking till the altar" yet helps those with nerves shake em out! Reagan and Steven sat parallel to one another in their church pews exchanging sweet words right before the ceremony.

Dancing the night away "disposable camera" style

After the ceremony, the 16mm camera was put to work capturing guest singing and dancing, as well as Reagan and Steven hopping up on stage to take the mic. With the help of extra lighting, 16mm film mimics the colors and feel of disposables while holding to the crispness of superior lens filming.

using audio of your day in your film

If you want to swoon--skip to minute 6:10 for the best surprise of your life. Jonathan surprised the couple by including real audio captured form their ceremony. A friend sang the Elvis Presley tune "Can't Help Falling in Love" and it was, in the spur of the moment, captured on iPhones voice memos. During editing, he felt it was just right to loop it into the end.

It's fair to say that it was a tear jerking surprise for the couple when they saw it for the first time.
