Full Film Coverage for Kayleigh and JD's Dreamy Bozeman, Montana Elopement
Kayleigh and JD have been visiting Bozeman and Whitefish, Montana since 2018. After proposing to her at Volunteer Park's magical dock area--they knew they'd be back for their wedding celebration soon.
Both hailing from Florida, they celebrated with a Florida reception and made the wedding official in Lakeside, Montana. The couple brought along their closest friends for a week long vacation filled with morning sunrise runs, mountain hikes, flathead lake cold plunges, and coffee runs to their favorite local shop Lift. Knowing where all the best spots are, they sourced their cake from a local bakery, and even crafted their own dinner menu with inspirations from the gourmet cuisines the area is known for.
We had the honor of coming to capture their elopement on 16mm film and photography.

Why you should cold plunge on the morning of your elopement.
The morning began around 5:45am--because that's when the sunrise's in Lakeside. Since JD proposed on the pier at Volunteer Park they wanted to spend the morning reminiscing and cold plunging.
Personalizing Your Intimate Elopement
The couple worked on their personal vows as they waited for their coffee at their usual place. When you elope you have the opportunity to personalize your day with places and things that hold sentimental value for you.
With us as your elopement photographer and videographer we are alongside for it all. Whether you want space to just be you two or you want to make it a "whole moment" we want to come along and capture it on timeless film.
Intimate Montana Elopement Ceremony
When you elope you can opt for a airbnb that might suit your style more than a traditional wedding venue--and at a fraction of the industry cost. You can gather your friends and family to stay with you a few days leading up or even have extra room to cozy up, while a traditional wedding venue only grants access for a day. This can leave your family and friends as 12am clean up crew when they could be changing into jammies for post-wedding snacks and movie night.
Eloping in Montana affords multiple ceremony locations: including your airbnb's backyard with the stunning view of Flathead Lake. Kayleigh and JD had an intimate ceremony with a first look before they packed up to go hike Glacier National Park with their small wedding party.
Leave Behind the Traditional Wedding Day and Go Hike the National Park with your Friends!
After the ceremony Kayleigh and JD packed up their SUV with their wedding party and headed towards Glacier National Park. We drove Road to the Sun and stopped along the way for a few snapshots of them with the breath taking mountain views.
Elopement's don't have to be limited to only 2 people. The beauty of eloping is that it is customizable and un fettered by the traditional wedding day--leaving you with a lot of untraditional fun.
As someone who wanted to elope, but didn't want my family to miss out, I loved how Kayleigh and JD had a family reception in Florida before they eloped in Montana.
Family-Style Dinner after Your Elopement
With a chef as the best man, the group commenced their family styled reception dinner at 11pm that night. (Ah, the beauty of elopements...you can truly do whatever you want!). The table was decorated with a beautiful fruit and floral topped cake, personalized match boxes, mix and matched candles, and the couples favorite beverages. (I see you Coke).
The Best Montana Elopement on Film
It's save to say that Jonathan and I hope that this Flathead Lake Elopement is the first of many down the road. We had such a wonderful time not only crafting an elegant and free spirited film video to match Kayleigh and JD's faith and personality, but also getting to document the photography side with digital and film was a treat. Being a husband and wife wedding duo is such a fun job, and meeting these sweet sweet souls was th echerry on top.
