A Family Session on South Texan Family Land.
I've known Trinity and her family for awhile now, but the honor never diminishes when she ask me to capture her family on film. These were shot on my beloved Pentax 645N--an autofocus medium format workhorse. Autofocus is fun to play with on film due to its randomness in choosing "who" the subject is. Hence, one of my favorite photographs that was made from that--the crisp moon with the Sorrell family gathered fuzzily underneath. That scan about dropped my jaw.

Being a mama myself, I know that the last thing you want is to get your family photos done, in hopes of capturing your family the way you are, and none of it actually looks like you (worst nightmare).
